Big Sister & Little Brother

It has been so fun to watch Hailey interact with Josiah. She is so proud of her brother and wants to make sure he is not left out of anything. She loves holding him and feeding him for a minute or two if Mommy lets her. It is so cute. Since his arrival she has been much more affectionate. Before he came she hardly ever wanted to give us kisses or hugs. Now she has to give us a kiss and hug before naps and at bedtime. Of course Josiah has to get one too.

Snow Days in Texas

For the 1st time in DFW history we had over 10 inches of snow last week. What an unexpected surprise! We went to bed Wednesday night hoping 1 - 3 in. of snow would fall Thursday night. We woke up Thursday morning with a phone call from one of Eric's co-workers telling us school had been cancelled. There was already 3 in. on the ground. Since it was just snow and no ice, we decided to go and visit our friends in Weatherford who had just had a baby boy. They were thrilled to see us. We enjoyed fellowship, lunch, and then Hailey, Eric, & James built a snowman. They did a great job.

School was cancelled on Friday the 12th too. We stayed home and made our own snowmen. Hailey loves the snow and was excited we finally got it here in Texas. Josiah slept through most of the snow. Of course, snow goes as quickly as it comes here and Hailey can't figure out while Grandma in Illinois still has snow and we don't. Oh well. I guess she will figure that out one day.

Hailey's Singing Debut

Well our church has a Cherub Choir that meets every Sunday night. It is for ages 3 until they graduate kindergarten. Since Daddy sings in the adult choir, Hailey has asked to sing in choir for months now. She was very disappointed when her best friend turned 3 in November and got to join and she didn't. She finally was able to join about 3 weeks ago and has constantly been singing the songs ever since. Last night was her 1st time to sing in church. She was so excited. As you can tell on the video she was a little awestruck and hadn't learned the actions yet, but I was proud that she knew most of the words. We are so blessed to be in a church with lots of opportunities for Hailey to learn and sing about God! I can't wait till she sings again.

Baby Dedication

On Sunday Eric & I dedicated Josiah to God. It was so nice to have my parents & Eric's parents there for the dedication. This is a special time in which we make a public commitment to raise Josiah up for the Lord. Whatever God wants for Josiah's life is what we want for him too. Pastor Wallace does an awesome job of explaining this and then praying for little Josiah. He even started to choke up when talking. We are so blessed to have a pastor that loves his congregation! Here are a few pictures from the dedication.

Hailey's 3rd Birthday

I can't believe my little girl is 3 years old! Wow! She has brought so much joy and excitement into our lives. Hailey has been waiting for this day for months now. Back in August or September she told us that she wanted a Minnie Mouse birthday party and especially a Minnie Mouse cake. Well, I told her to ask her Aunt Jessie if she would make her a cake, but her daddy decided he wanted to try and make her the cake. Well, he did it and did a wonderful job, especially for his 1st time. We were all impressed and proud of him. Eric is a wonderful daddy & husband. Hailey has lots of family at her party and her best friend, Morgan. She got way too many presents. Now we have to find places to put them.

Josiah is Here!

Josiah Eric Cormack was born January 11, 2010 at 1:44 p.m. The delivery was fast & furious, but I made it through without any drugs. (Not by choice though.) He was 6 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 3/4 inches long. Josiah is doing well and has stayed healthy even though his sister and mommy have both been sick. Here are some pics from his 1st few hours & days of life:
